Yay for weekends :)

Well I wish I could add another day or two to the weekend, but even though its almost over, mine was very nice! Saturday the Frost and Suze came to play with their favorite Sherlock! Sherlock took us up to his favorite hiking and swimming spot. It was a beautiful fall day and we had a good time hiking through the woods. Unfortunately, just as I was executing the very difficult walk-and-throw-the-stick-for-the-dog move, there was a sudden gust of gravity which resulted in me almost not falling down. I did the almost not falling down part very well and have the road rash on my palms and knees to prove it! :( Oh well... it was still a fun afternoon.

Then for dinner we went to an Italian place down in Old Colorado City. I had lobster-stuffed ravioli in a lobster-cream sauce. Oooooooohhh goodness it was soooooo yummmmmmmmmy!!! Then I came home and watched DVDs of my nephews and went to bed early.

Today I got up to let out the pooperdog and feed the kitty and then went back to bed and snoozed until 11. It felt very nice to just lay in the sunshine and listen to some Harry Potter and be lazy. Then I got up and was very productive with some school stuff, followed by a short hike with the pupper. Then it was off to the grocery store where I saved almost $20 off my bill. My mommy should be proud :)

This coming week is a short school week because we have no school Thursday and Friday due to parent-teacher conferences. I'm still swamped with student-teaching stuff, so I'm glad I will have a little more time to work on that... I'm a little nervous about the parent/teacher meetings but I as I am not in charge of them this time, it will be good to see how Sharla handles things. Other than that I am taking over science this week and writing next week... so far so good :)

Polls,
I liked the sudden gust of gravity also! And I know you will do fine at parent teacher conferences. They are not as bad as they may seem. Just remember that every parent loves their kid no matter how terrible they are. The parent just wants to help. Taking over science is a good first start. You are an awesome teacher. And I hope your "owies" heal fast.
